Ladies! We are heading back to Texas for a Third Annual Ladies Adventure Camp Experience Hog & Doe Hunt!
Come join us for four days of instructed hunting at the Hawks Double Mountain Ranch! Base cost of this adventure, $650, includes your accommodations with modern amenities and meals cooked by an on-site chef. The ammo and guns are also provided! We’ll site in rifles on Thursday afternoon, November 12, with hunting days of Friday and Saturday, with departure on Sunday morning (November 15.)
The cost for each hog take is $100 and for each whitetail doe $150. You will be paired with women (like Deb Ferns and Kay Miculek) who have extensive experience in various hunting fields- a great way to learn how to hunt! The Ranch is on 25,000 rustic acres to explore with a relaxing lodge. Click here for more information on the Ranch. On-site processing is also available for an extra cost. If you prefer to donate your meat, we collaborate with Hunters for the Hungry. Up to 8 ladies can join in and a Texas hunting license is needed; though since this is a high fence ranch the cost is $45 instead of $350 for the non-resident license.
FYI – hogs and whitetail doe are in huge population at this Ranch; it’s smart game management to thin the herd a bit. In terms of getting the hunting license a link will be provided once you sign up. If you are under the age of 47 you will need a hunter education card from her home state. If you are 47 or older, you do not need a hunter education card. That said it would be great to see ALL women get this type of card which never expires and is good throughout the US because it’s a good thing to have basic understanding of game management and conservation.
